Day 1

Arrive in Bhutan - The Land of Thunder Dragon

Upon arrival, our representative will warmly welcome you at the airport in Paro and will escort you to your air-conditioned private vehicle. You will then proceed to your hotel in Thimphu.

Day 2

Explore history, culture and monuments of Thimphu

Cheri Monastery
Perched on a hill just outside Thimphu, Cheri Monastery is a historic and serene Buddhist retreat founded in the 17th century by the great Tibetan master Lama Drukpa Kunley. The peaceful surroundings and traditional architecture offer visitors a glimpse into Bhutanese monastic life and spirituality. The hike up to Cheri provides stunning views over Thimphu Valley.

Thimphu Valley
The heart of Bhutan’s capital, Thimphu Valley is a beautiful blend of modern city life and traditional Bhutanese culture. The valley is dotted with temples, stupas, and dzongs, surrounded by lush forests and rolling hills. Visitors can explore vibrant markets, monasteries, and cultural landmarks while enjoying scenic mountain vistas.

Thangtong Dewachen Nunnery
Located on the outskirts of Thimphu, this tranquil nunnery is dedicated to the teachings of Buddhism and the welfare of female practitioners. It offers a peaceful atmosphere for meditation and learning, with beautifully maintained gardens and prayer halls. Visitors can experience the quiet spiritual energy and meet the resident nuns engaged in daily rituals and study.

Day 3

Proceed to Punakha

Via Dochu-la pass explore the cluster of 108 memorial stupas and proceed to Punakha.

Admire the beauty of Punakha valley and the magnificent Punakha Zong
Built in 1637, Punakha Dzong is Bhutan’s most impressive and historically significant fortress-monastery. It stands majestically at the meeting point of two rivers, showcasing stunning Bhutanese architecture with towering whitewashed walls, intricate woodwork, and golden roofs

Proceed back to Paro

Day 5

Hike to the Tatsang Monastery known as the Tiger’s Nest

Perched dramatically on a cliffside about 900 meters above the Paro Valley floor, Taktshang Monastery, popularly known as the Tiger’s Nest, is Bhutan’s most sacred and breathtaking spiritual landmark.
